This weekend marked the first real snowfall of the year here in New Jersey. Several dedicated members camped out at the station for the duration ensuring a timely response for any emergencies that arose. Thankfully it turned out to be a fairly quiet storm in our district. Only one call came in during the storm a CO Alarm with no illness. Of course the alarm came in just as the standby crew was treating itself to some warm hot chocolate at Dunkin Donuts on Route 27 after visiting life members homes and shoveling them out. Despite the lack of fire calls the crew stayed busy clearing snow from the apron and attending to various in house projects like setting up the new computer in the radio room and cooking dinner.
