NEW BRUNSWICK 3RD ALARM

At 2003 hours EFFD was dispatched into the City of New Brunswick for a second alarm assignment for a structure fire on Handy Street. The duty crew responded to Engine 5s station with Engine 272 and was moved up to the scene shortly thereafter to esstablish a water supply and feed Communitys Ladder which was placed in a perfect position to fight the two three story residential homes that were well involved with fire. NB Deputy Chief Rawls Car 21 quickly upgraded the fire to a 3rd alarm. Engine 272s crew assisted New Brunswick crews with fire suppresion. Two hydrants fed Engine 2 which was also supplying two TFT Blitzfire Masterstreams. Engine 272s crew Driver J. Ritterson Chief D. Krushinski Asst. Chief K. Loichle FF K. Apuzzio FF T. Chillemi. A special thanks to Milltown FD for their help packing our 5 inch. Engine 272 returned to quarters at 2322 hours.
