EFFD responds into the Borough of Highland Park for 2nd Alarm Structure Fire at 112 North 3rd Avenue

On Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 at approximately 0748 hours, East Franklin Fire Department was requested Mutual-Aid into the Borough of Highland Park. HPFD was operating on a 2nd Alarm Structure Fire at 112 North 3rd Avenue.

Car 27, Car 274 and Squad 27 responded to the scene. While Chief 27 assisted with Fire Suppression Efforts, the crew from Squad 27 secured a water source from the Hydrant, and laid a 5-inch feeder to Highland Park Truck #3.

After the above tasks were completed, Squad 27 was assigned as R.I.T. Car 274 kept scene accountability for the incident. Units operated for approximately 3 hours, until the fire was placed under control.

Thank you to all the members who responded and to Franklin Twp. Fire District #1, who was on Dual Dispatch while EFFD was operating out of town.
