On Wednesday 11/22/17 members of the Community Fire Department and East Franklin Fire Department handed out Turkeys to some of the families in need within Somerset County. We visited two locations both on Belmont Drive and Hamilton Street within Franklin Township.
Earlier in the month, Captain Ryan Daughton was contacted by the HOPES Daycare center who we have partnered with in the previous year to help out needy families. They requested that we obtain approximately 100 turkeys for families in need within the Somerset County Communities. With the assistance of Stop and Shop on Easton Avenue, Acme in Clark along with the following people that were ready to assist our community in need we were able to complete our mission:
Jim Wickman, Katie Paolo, Kristen Sullivan, Jen Bradshaw, Bill Smith,Robyn Prasek, Kaitlin Sell, Courtney Chelkowski, Pat Shimaley, Joe Danielson, Stacey Cacchione, John Chris and Mike Rampacek and the President of our Ladies Auxillary Wendy Krushinski.
It is times like these that coming together and working to assist those in need is of the utmost importance. We at East Franklin Fire Department put the needs of our community first. We would like to thank all those who assisted in our efforts to provide a Thanksgiving Meal to families in need. Happy Thanksgiving from Station 27 and God Bless Everyone!
