On Monday February 29th, 2016 at approximately 22:26 hours Fire District #3 was dispatched to 52 Jurocko Avenue for a reported Motor Vehicle Fire, involving multiple vehicles that were within close proximity of a residence.

Squad 27 arrived and the crew deployed (2) 1 inch and 3/4 handlines, placing them between the residence and the vehicles involved. Engine 276 laid in from a hydrant and supplied Squad 27 with a 5″ supply line. Under the direction of Lt. Daughton, crews from both the Squad and Engine 276 began to extinguish the fire. Captain Shannon directed the remainder of the firefighters of E-276 to cut both the hood and the trunk open of the respective vehicles. With both crews working together, the fire was placed under control in under 15 minutes, with no extension to the nearby structure.
