On Saturday Dec. 15th, 2018 at approximately 1545 hours Fire District #3 was dispatched to 25 Holly Street for a reported dryer fire. Car 27 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire, with smoke showing from the front door. Car 27 quickly called for a 1st Alarm Assignment, as well as Somerset Fire and Rescue to the scene with their R.I.T. Car 25 later arrived, at which point Car 27 transferred command to Chief 25 and Chief 27 assumed the role of Operations.
Ladder 25 arrived and conducted a primary search of the fire building. Engine 253 arrived immediately behind the ladder and stretched an attack line, containing the fire to the laundry room. Ladder 27 arrived and ventilated the structure with positive pressure ventilation. Additional units on scene were Engine 251, Squad 27 and Engine 27. Great job by all companies on scene.
