On Friday March 3rd, 2017 at 5:30 a.m. Fire District #3 was dispatched to 129 Victor Street, for a reported Structure Fire.
Chief 27 (Chief Krushinski) arrived and established command, reporting a fire on the 2nd floor. Chief 27 requested the assignment be upgraded to a 2nd Alarm. Engine 251 was 1st due and stretched a 2 inch attack line into the fire building. Engine 278 arrived shortly after and assisted with the initial attack line, as well as pulled a back up line off of Engine 251. Squad 27 established a supply line to Engine 251.
The fire was extinguished without incident and confined to the room of origin. Crews performed salvage and overhaul, finding no extension of the fire.
Additional units on the scene were Car 272, Car 273, Car 274, Engine 27, Air 27, Utility 27, Car 25 and Ladder 25. Mutual Aid Companies on the scene were New Brunswick Engine 5 and Somerset’s Rescue 56. North Brunswick Co. 2, Elizabeth Avenue and Bound Brook Fire Departments stood by at Station 27 covering Fire District #3. All units cleared without incident at 6:55 a.m. Great job by all companies!
