East Franklin Fire Department added 27 new photos.

On October 14th, 2018 members of the East Franklin Fire Department participated in annual training on the Petzl Bail-Out System. Each member of the Fire Department is required to train and show profciency in deploying this system.

Once each member is able to do so, they are then able to carry it on their personal gear in order to protect themselves in a situation that warrants a quick escape out of a structure. Thank you to the 2016 Franklin District #3 Board of Fire Commissioners who cared and listened when I threw them the pitch of a new bailout system. It was much needed. THANK YOU!!

In my 18 years as Chief the Board has had its issues on making decisions that it had to make . No Fire Commissioner should ever abstain from a vote. Some Commissioners were not so good at all and made it about them. But in the past 5 or 6 prior years they have purchased some of the best fire apparatus and are protecting the firefighters with the top notch bail out systems and the training needed for it and the newest item the PASS alarm System from Grace industries . As well as replacing turn out gear when it's needed not waiting till it's expired. Thank you some of current and former commissioners of D3
