Engine 251 laid a supply line to Ladder 25 from the hydrant.
Crews from New Brunswick Eng Co. 1 and Ladder Co. 1 assisted with extinguishment efforts. All occupants were confirmed to be out of the building, as crews pushed an interior attack up the 2nd floor. Ladder 27 was set up on the A/D corner of the building and was utilized for roof ventilation.
Squad 27 arrived and their crew was split, assisting with Fire Attack and Roof Ventilation. Engine 27 established a supply line at the corner of Douglas Avenue and Ray Street to Ladder 27 from the hydrant. Car 274 assisted on scene with pump ops and overall on scene accountability, with the help of an assistant.
Within approximately 45 minutes, interior crews had the fire under control. North Brunswick Co. #3 assisted with overhaul and checking for extension. Somerset Fire and Rescue responded with Rescue 56 and stood by as R.I.T.
